This is a remarkable video, with glimpses into the secret practices and lives of the most enlightened individuals in the world. One of them, Nubpa Rinpoche, featured at about 29 minutes in, i’ve actually done a week-long teachings retreat with. This video also has great importance to me because i plan to one day become a yogi.

saw this movie at dharma movie night in timonium, md last night. i really think about the questions they raise at the end of the movie ALOT.. how will the modern western world be able to live the path and live in this modern society at the same time and make headway. is it possible? ……. after the movie there were comments from the audience.. they say that they released some of this information in a effort to continue the teachings, etc.. however how it is truly possible for westerners to follow in the footsteps of lamas at all. like you mention- following the path .. really following it, requires you to give up ‘normal life’ forget about a life partner or children.. is that possible ? how can you really chip away at getting somewhere with all of this while leading a normal life – meaning – working 40hrs a week so you can support yourself, staying in contact with friends and family…..and getting all the time invested into this as well.. something i keep wondering..
many people i meet studying seem to be single or they are older and retired.. surely those people have the energy and time required more than someone with a partner or family.. but is it possible for all?

I’m trying to figure out the solution to this very problem by my own mind experiments and such. I’m looking for the way that can help people in this modern age. You will know when i’ve found it.
